Benjamin Y. Cooper, Executive Director

In 2002, Ben Cooper formed an industry-wide marketing program known as The Print Council, an alliance for which he serves as executive director. In 2006, he became the Executive Director of The Print Council. He also serves as Executive Director of Mail Moves America, a coalition of more than 70 companies, associations and unions organized to combat state legislation to regulate mail.

From 1978 through 2005, Ben Cooper served as the chief lobbyist for the Printing Industries of America, as Executive Vice President and head of the Washington, DC office. As the chief lobbyist for the U. S printing industry, Cooper has been actively involved in a range of issues including environment, health care, taxes, intellectual property, trade and postal issues.

Joanne N. Vinyard, Director

As Director of The Print Council, Joanne Vinyard is responsible for the development and ongoing oversight of Print in the Mix (the clearinghouse of print market research housed at Rochester Institute of Technology); supervision of the Print Delivers presentations developed for agencies and marketing/media specifiers; and the development of marketing tools as identified by The Print Council Marketing Committee for its sponsors and the printing industry. Prior to her current position, she was the director of Printing Industry of America’s Digital Printing Council and E-Business Council.

The Executive Committee

The Executive Committee is responsible for all major decisions, actions, and budgets of The Print Council. Its members are made up of the Platinum level sponsors from the supplier and printer communities.

The Marketing Committee

This committee is responsible for initiating, creating, and developing the major projects of The Print Council, including the Print in the Mix website, the Why Print is Green brochures and PowerPoint presentation, Why Print brochure, and the Print Delivers seminars.
